1. The album begins at a crossroads in human consciousness, where an insurgence of fear and hatred in the world’s superpower gives rise to potent, dark forces.
2. The balance of fear that we hold so dear has shifted a little to the left, freeing those who have held it for the last several years to console rather than insist they are right. This fear that we share shall be transformed into greater concern for us all. We will know right from wrong and stop blaming someone or something for how we act and feel. So long... as we watch out for each other. So long... as we take care of our selves. So long... as we listen to each other. So long... as we get to know ourselves. We have the power to tear down the tower if the empire decides to strike. Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain, standing united we will fight. So long... as we watch out for each other. So long... as we take care of our selves. So long... as we listen to each other. So long... as we get to know ourselves for who we are.
3. The citizens are shocked at what they have made, and forced to reckon with the void their divisiveness created. A new sense of personal and social responsibility is awakened.
4. Please come back to the prairie where the spirits of the buffalo roam free, the hills of southwest Iowa keep whispering to me. When will you dance upon the tracks of the long made railroad beds, that once united our countryside but have long been left for dead? But what good could I do? I’ve been gone for so long. Just offer up this simple song and open up your arms. “From the earth to the sky, love will guide us if we try, and teach our fragile hearts to sing again. Take me in with arms held wide and hold me close tonight. Shine the light that leads us safely home.” Its ok to feel sad its ok to get mad. Your feeling what it is to be alive. Your discovering your balance and the joys that are to be found. Find faith in your self and trust your neighbor. We’ve got all the time we need, and we've all got something to give. So share this simple song and open your arms. “From the earth to the sky, love will guide us if we try, and teach our mighty hearts to sing as one. Take me in with arms held wide and hold me close tonight. Shine the light that leads us safely home.”
5. Faced with mounting pressure, a movement is born that unites the common people through the understanding and transcendence of fear based control, and the discovery of a greater source of power.
6. Its not the riches without, its the riches within. Its not the things that you have, its what you have with in. It is free. It is free. Riches for free. Pick yourself up, pick yourself up, pick yourself up. Lift yourself up, lift yourself up, lift yourself up. And all we need is love, all we need is love, sweet, sweet love. And its not something you can sell, but its something you can receive. Its something that you can give, what a relief. And its not something you can sell, but its something you can receive. Its something that you can give, what a relief. Lift your voice up, lift your voice up, lift your voice up. Lift your voice up, lift your voice up, lift your voices up. And all we need is love. And all we need is love. All we need is love.
7. The illusion of separation becomes more apparent as the people turn inward to discover their true nature and source of discontent.
8. I see it time and time again. I’m guilty just the same. We put on a mask to disguise our face. As to not reveal the pain that is felt with in our hearts, at the core of our very own souls. You can see through me, when I can’t see through myself. When I'm blind to the richness of what life is about. It’s no wonder so many lives are lost. Are we growing closer or will we remain unchanged? When I fall you lift me up. When I’m dry you fill my cup. You lead me to still waters and to the light that’s true.
9. Reconnected with their inner selves, the populace stands firm in their demands of the demagogue, who is forced to serve the will of the united people or face uprising and removal from power.
10. The time for our togetherness has passed. But I love you. We've shared so many tears so many laughs. Still I love you. But holding onto a snowflake, precious moments in time, won't prolong the magic of the temporal and sublime. When I let go and appreciate the magic that was, my heart is freed and open to the ever present love.
11. Empowered, the people work towards a better life by forgiving themselves and others and embracing their shared sense of stewardship and community.
12. I will follow if you lead me, I will lead if you will plow. I will fold if you knead me, and then rise up with you now. I will sing to all creation, I will sing with you now. I will share what has been given, and give thanks and take a bow. I will listen for your guidance, I will listen to you now. I’ll be patient and breathe deeply and trust things will work out. I will stand with all people, I will stand up for you now. I’ll be strong and I’ll be loving, I’ll be tender and reach out. I have peacefulness within me, I’ve got peace within me now. I know that you love me for who I am right now. There’s nothing I can do to make you turn away. So I will be your candle, and share your light today. I will follow if you lead me, I will lead if you will plow. I will fold if you knead me, and then rise up with you now. There’s nothing I can do to make you turn away. So I will be your candle, and share your light today. So I will be your candle, and share your light today.
13. This newfound inner freedom, leads the people toward greater harmony and respect for creation, as they embrace the connectedness of life. They recognize themselves in others, leading to a deeper understanding of the nature of reality.
14. Why are we afraid to die? Its so hard to say good bye. But its not good bye, its just so long, for now. I have learned how to cry and open up so I can fly home, home, sweet home. “And we are not of this earth, its only been since our birth. We've got so far to go but we'll get there. Yeah we'll get there.” We are limited by sense. I can see you on the fence but someday we all have to let go. I'm no longer scared to be. I have longed to be free. The only thing holding me back now is this body. “And we are not of this earth, its only been since our birth. We've got so far to go but we'll get there. Yeah we'll get there.” This body will soon decay and my soul will shout a big hooray as it bends both space and time to join you there. This life offers us a choice. How will you use your voice? Ain't it great to be part of such a choir? “And we are not of this earth, its only been since our blessed birth. We've got so far to go but we're on our way. Yes, we're one our way.” Soon I will close my eyes and take off this ugly disguise and join you in the great big ball of fire.
15. Having conquered fear in life, they no longer fear death. A new era of peace and understanding arrives on Planet Earth.
17. The people, when united, will not be defeated. We begin.
